Who We Are

Jeff & Dianne Nelson opened the doors of Nelson Truck & Equipment Service, Inc. in October of 1979. Jeff served in the Navy Seabee’s and in Vietnam, making him not adverse to the hard work and long hours to make the shop successful. Jeff and Dianne have 3 (now grown) children; Keith the ‘baby of the family’ has always show an interest in following in his dads footsteps, helping his dad at the shop from a very young age. Upon graduation from High School in 1997, Keith furthered his education at NWTC and graduated from the diesel program.  

Jeff and Keith worked side by side for many years until Jeff’s retirement in 2014. Keith’s wife, Amanda, joined the family business working with Dianne in 2005 and took over running the office upon Dianne’s retirement with Jeff.  Keith and Amanda have learned through the mentorship of Jeff and Dianne; the value of working as a team, putting in hard work and dedication, and most of all the value of a good relationship with their customers and staff. 

Keith and Amanda have four young children who are now showing their interest in working at the shop with their dad as well. You may find one or two of them at the shop ‘working’ with Keith on occasion!  Keith and Amanda are trying to instill the same work ethic in their children that Jeff & Dianne instilled in Keith. Hard work, honesty, and dedication truly does pay off. 

Nelson Truck & Equipment has grown not only in the amount of shop space over the years, but also in number of employees. However one thing that has never changed  is always putting our customers first and doing our best for them. You can count on Nelson’s  to take care of you like family, as we have taken care of each other!
